About e

Since 2008, E. Foley of Geek’s Dream Girl has been helping geeks from around the world find love. She writes amazing online dating profiles for her fellow geeks and guides them through the perilous waters of the dating scene and out the other side. She's totally proud to report that she's even caused a couple geek weddings! By day, she is the Copywriter at ThinkGeek, where her greatest challenges are coming up with enough Star Wars jokes that only reference the good movies and remembering which supers are Somethingman, Something Man, or Something-man. She lives in Maryland with DaveTheGame, her adorable cats, Mr. Peanut & Don Juan, and Titania, Queen of the Cocker Spaniels. (Email e, or follow @geeksdreamgirl on Twitter.)

Well, Canada here, probably the 1000 mile range, though that depends on where you are.

I do have to wonder whether Vista falls under XP or NT on that chart, though.

No personal ad for me, though. Happily engaged/commonlaw to my own geek girl. :)

  2. CamperSniper says:

Firefox 2 in the US under XP.

  3. e says:

Hi Graham, glad to see you again! I’m in Florida, so if you’re in eastern canada, you’re probably ok. I’m just uber far from Vancouver and other such places! I wonder about Vista too… site meter apparently doesn’t look for it…

    Hi Camper! :) Hooray Firefox!

  4. Tala says:

I myself am in Iowa, and no, I’m not sitting in the middle of a cornfield folks ;P I too use Vista, and all hail Firefox!

Wished I was in Florida. Anything has got to be warmer than around here…

  5. Hey, I saw that you posted on our roleplaying forums, welcome to RolePlayGateway!

You’ve earned yourself a new subscriber. ;] I’m one of the folks on Firefox, in the US, but on varying operating systems, at varying times.

  6. Lee Nelson says:

USA Tennessee! I’m pretty close to you if you live in Florida. Windows Vista and I use both Firefox and IE depending on what I’m doing. Yay for stats! You should have some polls too just for fun :)

  7. e says:

I need to start doing some polls now that I have a decent amount of traffic. :) We should have some sort of opinion poll or something… any ideas for topics?

  8. Graham says:

Lessee… according to this site (plug in whatever feedburner feed you want, but this link is yours) you have 20 RSS subscribers. (More than me :P )

With that growth rate, the site predicts that in 12 months you will have…

    Twenty Quadrillion subscribers!

Time to start an empire, I think. :D

  9. e says:

Feedburner says I have anywhere between 30 and 40 depending on the day… but I’m getting over 100 visitors a day according to sitemeter (and that’s with the IPs that I use blocked!) ;)

I think 20 quadrillion would be a nice number of minions, don’t you?

  10. Lee Nelson says:

Well as to polls to start off you could do some really simple ones such as favorite type of music or food. Or what dating site do you prefer? Then perhaps some more geeky ones like favorite character class :) Or just polls on whatever topic you are on at the moment.

  11. Rift says:

Dutch fan reporting here, you can thank The Guild for hooking me on your blog and I’m not leaving anytime soon.

Just keep your eye on those stat-meters and watch your popularity rise.

  12. e says:

    Woot! Hi Dutch fan! :)

  13. Ian says:

I think I’m that 1% from Singapore. I’m usually not one for blogs, but yours has been an interesting read so far. I’m usually even less likely to post a comment, so kudos to you. =)

  14. e says:

Woot for me on two counts! Woot for you for posting! (This thread has far too much wooting.) :-)

  15. Yax says:

I’m probably in the 8000+ miles range. I’m far from everyone and can’t wait to be back on the East Coast for a few gaming sessions. Living in Hawaii will do that to you.

  16. e says:

Hawaii? That must be pretty cool. :)
