Quiz Time!: What D&D Character Am I?
I Am A: True Neutral Human Bard/Sorcerer (3rd/2nd Level)
Ability Scores:
Strength-8
Dexterity-9
Constitution-9
Intelligence-13
Wisdom-13
Charisma-12
Alignment:
True Neutral A true neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. He doesn’t feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most true neutral characters exhibit a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil after all, he would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, he’s not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way. Some true neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run. True neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you act naturally, without prejudice or compulsion. However, true neutral can be a dangerous alignment because it represents apathy, indifference, and a lack of conviction.
Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.
Primary Class:
Bards often serve as negotiators, messengers, scouts, and spies. They love to accompany heroes (and villains) to witness heroic (or villainous) deeds firsthand, since a bard who can tell a story from personal experience earns renown among his fellows. A bard casts arcane spells without any advance preparation, much like a sorcerer. Bards also share some specialized skills with rogues, and their knowledge of item lore is nearly unmatched. A high Charisma score allows a bard to cast high-level spells.
Secondary Class:
Sorcerers are arcane spellcasters who manipulate magic energy with imagination and talent rather than studious discipline. They have no books, no mentors, no theories just raw power that they direct at will. Sorcerers know fewer spells than wizards do and acquire them more slowly, but they can cast individual spells more often and have no need to prepare their incantations ahead of time. Also unlike wizards, sorcerers cannot specialize in a school of magic. Since sorcerers gain their powers without undergoing the years of rigorous study that wizards go through, they have more time to learn fighting skills and are proficient with simple weapons. Charisma is very important for sorcerers; the higher their value in this ability, the higher the spell level they can cast.

Hey, I know it’s a super-old thread, but you should post your results on our AD&D real life stats topic!
(And, oddly enough, it’s a different URL, with a different quiz… hrm…)
NG Druid 2/Ranger 1
Hmm I thought I would be higher level. Still the alignment/class is pretty right on for me.
LG Wizard 4.
I say BS, the other test I took said LG Pally, and the third one said CG Rogue. Ok, fine I’m a “good guy” I have come to terms with that, but what am I? Does this make me a bard? I hope not. Bards suck…
Also Lee you seem to have forgotten that 5th level is world-altering-physicist-with-your-picture-in-schools-for-generations. So 3rd puts you above 90~95% of the population. http://www.thealexandrian.net/creations/misc/d&d-calibrating.html
Also, I find it not fair that a test gave me better stats then I roll.
Hey, be careful what you say about bards!!
Then again, I’ve only been a bard in EverCrack…
Bards are awsome!
How can you say that bards suck?=/
They can do almost everything a rouge can, cast spells and are good at combat. Oviosly you never played a Bard, they are just fun to play.
Anyhow…I dont know about this test E, I came out as a LG Monk but I dont think I am anything like a Monk.=/
I don’t think you’re anything like Good.
*ducks*
Bards do suck, and I have played one (with a Visi-sonar (less the power song kil…)). They are great for new players that have no clue what they want to play, but for guys like me (read rogues, pallys, or tone deaf saxophonists..) bards suck! Like half the skill points, can’t get traps over DC 20, and songs of sneaking are way counter productive. Not to mention the poor spell list, or the 30lb sitar! Also they are good at combat like a blood smear under an orc (ya huh! to you inevitable “nu uh”). And so as I sit behind my DM screen right now while my players have an inter-party-conflict I will tell you that rocks fall, all bards die (and rogues take no damage)
(they love when I start typing a long note… :D) (I think its time for a random will save…) (one last note :P)
Will save against what? The DM taking a break to type blog comments?
yep.
I like playing bards, they are fun if you know how to “think out side the box”, there spells are limited but they can be a life savior at the right moment. They might not be able to Disarm traps over DC20(witch can be fixed with one Level of Rouge)but they have Appraise, Bluff, Diplomacy, Disguise, ext, ext, ext…
You might not like to play Bards zozeer, but saying Bards suck is like saying the Noble class in Star Wars also sucks. They are extensively fun in rollplay and very useful in combat.
Me?…I am an experience players and GM, I am far from a new player. I have a blast with Bards and have never felt useless.
The noble did suck in Star Wars d20. To be fair all the non jedi sucked in Star Wars (don’t get me started on the ships, traveler was better (I even have a formula cheat sheet still)).
Thinking outside the box is exactly what makes rogues so fun. If you ever get in a fight as a rogue you have done something wrong (scoundrels too), and are about to be put on some toast to fill out a complete breakfast.
I didn’t intend the new player comment to come off as a slight against your level of experience, more as a voicing of my opinion that bards give the best roundabout experience for beginners.
You like bards, I don’t like bards. I’m not making you budge, you’re not making me budge.
I have a lot of issues with the d20 system, bard being the least of which.
Can’t we all just get along?
You mean I put down my rock, he puts down his sword and we try to kill each other like civilized people?
WoW…To say all Non Jedi class sucks is really limiting your self. I guess you only like a few things and any thing els then your own personal likes…”sucks”.
I’m don debating the usefulnesses of Bards after that last comment.
At least we can both agree that D20 is not the best system(though the most popular so is the easiest to get people to play) but I do enjoy the system, even if is not the best.
P.s.
I hope a Bard kicks your ass one day. >-)
I can tell you one thing. If you’re good at improvisation and enjoy singing (and are therefore good at improvising songs, especially epic, inspiring songs), then Bards are a lot of fun. If you’re a bard, you’re basically forced into the diplomat role unlike rogues who have a versatile stretch of possibilities (the stealthy scout, the urbane scammer etc).
True Neutral Human Cleric (1st Level)
Ability Scores:
Strength- 8
Dexterity- 10
Constitution- 10
Intelligence- 12
Wisdom- 13
Charisma- 12
To Ace:
Wait…let me get this strait…your saying the Bard is not versatile? I had a “Stealthy Scout” type Bard in the last FR game I played. He ended up being a full 16Lv Bard/2Lv Rouge when the game folded. I WAS THE Rouge(with awesome spellcasting) in the game with out taking more then 2 levels in Rouge. In turn in another campaign a friend build a full Bard that was the spellcaster of the party, we did not have a wiz/sor and he just set him self up with feats to be a bad ass spellcaster(with a bettor BAB and a hell of more skills). =/
It all depends on were you put your skills and what feats you take. The Bard class can take MANY shapes and can fill MANY gaps. Sure if you go for “Jack of all trades” you will never be great at anything, just mildly good at everything but the Bard builds I have seen and the Bard builds I make are centered on one thing, like Combat, Spellcasting, ext.
Being concentrated on one thing duos not make you any less of a “Jack of all trades”, you can still be Mildly good at a LOT(if you focus you will not be mildly good at everything) with a focus so you are GREAT at one thing.
I get the impression from zozeer that he is a power gamer (”anything that dos not do an ass load of damage…well…SUCKS”) Unlike Ace…By your statement Id like to believe you are NOT a power gamer and a lot more reasonable then zozeer. =)
