I read some of his other stuff, and he listed the Clash as overrated. Which I do agree with as much as I like them, but then he goes on to say that they couldn't write a song to save their lives. While I agree that the lyrics are underdeveloped on quite a few of their songs, Strummer and Jones make up for it on their debut album and London Calling. He also didn't list The Beatles for his list of the top 10 British Bands. Which I didn't quite understand. Sure they're a ficture on every hack rock critic's top list, but for a good reason, they were excellent! Oy, nothing gets me riled up more than arguing over pop music.
