Sorry...I cant write worth sh#@.=P
I really suck at composing sentences, English is a second language(Spanish is my first) and sentences are constructed a bit different. Is not the first time I have someone misunderstand me, usually is totally my fault.=*(

Anyhow...yes Improved Damage Threshold is not improving her "Shtick" though with a low CON is still a good idea.

Her CHA might be 18 but Force Sensitive wont help her any if she duos not have any Force Powers(Mind Trick is the only power that would help her with what she is dewing anyhow), Force Talents might help her but thats taking away from Noble Talents.

Im not saying it cant be don and that it would not be cool but as it is MOST of the party will be taking Force Sensitive. All in all it would be stretching her self thin.

How it will help with Empathy? Well, not empathy in particular, but it expands the schtick into telepathy as well.

I think that taking Force Sensitive would be like taking Martial Arts I, It opens the door to great possibilities and you would be able to do a lot but you will never be great at it.

With that 18 Cha, she would be spectacular at force use. Sure, it would be nice to have a higher Wis for more powers, but it's not a huge deal. Cha makes the powers she has more effective.

As for being able to take care of herself in melee, with a build like this that should be a last resort, not what you take feats for. A nice simple one-handed melee weapon (Stun Baton is nice) would work just as well as the martial arts feat.

That said, Improved Defenses is a good choice for anyone. Improved Damage Threshold is a useful feat in all cases, but I don't know if it fits with the character concept (that's up to e). Point Blank Shot is good, but I think it would be most beneficial to get that through a Scoundrel multiclass. Toughness should probably be looked into.

I just don't see how feats like Improved Damage Threshold advance her "schtick", when she said her schtick was Inara from Firefly...

I do agree with Graham that taking Force Sensitive is great for any character(Force Trance and access to the main Force Talents alone make it worth wale) but I don't see how it would help her with Empathy.=/ I just think she can benefit more from other feats that focus more on her "shtick", like Improved Damage Threshold, Improve Defenses, Point Blank, ext.

I have to say you are SOOOO right about the Martial Arts I feat, though stats are not everything, she can still be a good Martial Artist, just because she knows how to defend her self don't mean she is going to jump in to combat. In case she is stuck in a melee situation she will be able to defend her self and take other feats like Melee Defense to help her take care of her self in a melee. She will never kick ass but she will be able to take care of her self.

Ether way she should stay away from feats on the class's bonus feat, Character feats are to few and far to take something you can get in a couple of levels.

Was your take on it so far e?

While it is true, LokyCat, that the force feats do require a bit more dedication than normal, you can still be a pretty effective force user with just a few powers. Heck, Force-Sensitive is a useful feat for this type of character even without any Force Training to get force powers.

Additionally, without any Str, Dex, or Con bonus, I think melee combat is definitely the wrong path for this character.

Point Blank Shot is a good feat to have, for sure. But if you do want to dabble in the Force, I'd suggest starting the dabbling right away, and grabbing Point Blank Shot at level 3 or 6 (or dipping into Scoundrel and grabbing it as the class's bonus starting feat).

P.s.
I think you'd get more benefit from Know(Bureaucracy) at lower levels. Know(Social Science) is VERY useful and it defiantly fits your character but you can always pic it up at 4Lv when you get your ability boost.

What do you all think?
Was more useful for this type character?
Know(Bureaucracy): Business procedures, legal system and regulations, and Organizational structures.
Know(Social Science): Sociology, psychology, philosophy, theology, and criminology.

Im with Graham...you can never go wrong with Binary. You might also might want to learn your traveling companion's language.(you "pet" Kushiban=P)

As far as Feats go, I said this but I'm just making it official...

You don't want to stretch your self thin by trying to work with the Force. You'd have to not only take the feat Force Sensitive but also take Force Training, not to mention you'd have to replace one of the skills for Use Force. Ideally you would take Force Sensitive at 1Lv and replace one of your skills with Use Force then take Force Training at 3Lv, with your current stats that will give you only two Force powers.

I'm not saying it cant be don and that it wont be cool, I'm just saying that you would be stretching your self thin.

You can be a bad ass "face"/Martial Artist. Id advice taking Martial Arts or Improved Damage Threshold. Id stay away from Skill Focus because in on the Bonus feat list for your class, you really want Skill Focus? I'm sure you can wait for 2Lv to take it as a bonus class feat.=)

Point Black is a good to, leads the way to Precise shot but do you really want another raged character? Not to mention that you Kushiban friend will probably rock at raged combat.

Thats my two Cred stick. =P

Very nice. The empathicness gives me a little feel of Troi from Star Trek as well.

Anyways, help on things...

For languages, Binary (R2-D2's beeps) is always helpful to understand. Really, you can't go wrong here, and what's useful will depend on the campaign. See who else is in your party as well. You might want to make sure you all know different languages, to be covered in more situations, or you might want to make sure you know similar ones, to communicate in private. But as a persuasion-based character, try to get the GM to tell you what the most common languages will be.

Feats...

Force Sensitive is always nice, especially if you want to play up the empath aspect. If you take it, though, I'd recommend trading one of your trained skills for training in Use the Force instead.

To play up the Inara aspect, Skill Focus (Deception) or Martial Arts I would be appropriate. Given your stats, however, I'd advise staying back in combat. :P

So I'd say Skill Focus or Force Sensitive. With a nice selection of Force powers later on (Force Slam, Force Grip, Force Disarm), you will be able to hang back in combat and still be effective. You also might want to dip into Jedi a little later on for some force-based talents and attack bonus, but since Force attack rolls use the Use the Force skill check instead of base attack bonus, you should be fine.

Did I mention that Use the Force is a Charisma-based skill?

You basically have the perfect beginnings to a Force Witch here.

Feel free to talk to me on AIM or email if you want any help, as well.
