You know you’re a grown-up when…
…you spend your “Economic Stimulus” refund on paying down your car.
Sad, but true.
The good news?
I should be car payment free by June!
Now… I just need to resist the temptation to buy a new car…

It’s not sad E… it was ludicrous to think that battered indebted American households would splurge the money on junk… there are way too many bills everywhere.
Enjoy your car! Might I suggest that you keep making payments in a bank account so that you build up a downpayment for the next one?
Chatty, actually I’ll be transferring the full amount of my car payment to my credit card. I gotta do the math, but I think I should be able to have it paid off in 10 months or so…
Then other than student loans, I am debt free!
I’m using mine to pay down my student loans. I just got my car paid off thanks to working lots of overtime, band getting rid of one more extra bills is always nice. Once I get this fiscal freedom though, I will probably just drop more money into my savings account. It sucks to be responsible :).
Mine went to car repairs and paying off the Visa.
You know you’re a grown up if your friends don’t look at you weird when you get excited about finance or real estate. 3rd grade was hell:
-I want to be an astronaut.
-I want to be a fireman.
-I want to be a broker!
I was misunderstood to say the least.
Hey Yax,
It’s nice to see your face on the Gravatar instead of the fang cartoon smiley.
Actually, I kinda miss the fangs. Can you photoshop some in? Thanks.
e.
It’ll be my struts or my fuel pump. I might get to spend some at A-kon, but then again I do have my student loan payments.
