I fell asleep at our SWSE game last night.
No offense to our awesome GM, but I was tired and at the time I fell asleep, there wasn’t much a companion could do to help the situation we were in.
The other half of my sleepiness is because I’ve had a long week.
You see, friends… I’m moving. Bonus points if you can guess the city without looking at the alt text or filename.

My job begins in mid-August, so I’ll be moving in mid-July, just after my 3 week trip to Europe. (Oh, do I have some goodies for you while I’m gone!) There is a Big Sniffle Moment about taking this job – the mandatory orientation days are during GenCon. Dangit! I was really hoping to lose my GenCon virginity with Yax! I guess he will always remain the more experienced one…
Unfortunately, with the way timing worked out, next week is going to be my last week with my current gaming group. *sniffle* I will miss them a lot! I’m kinda bummed that we haven’t been able to play Eberron again and that next week will be another Star Wars week. I’m just not as into Star Wars. So Mar’Kessa, it appears, is dangling in limbo.
I did wake up in time to roll a 20 and shoot a robo-dog at point blank range in the face, blowing his head off. That was pretty cool. The other quote of the night was a conversation between Breel and Zara:
Breel: She’s not a 5 credit dock whore, she’s a companion.
Zara: What’s the difference?
Breel: About 4995 credits.
So next week is my last week. I’m sad. But now it’s time to look towards the future. I’ve noticed that the Meetup.com page for Charlotte D&D folks has about 70-odd people, so it should be easy to find a group that needs a token girl!

Not to be sexist. We just already have at least 50% female players at any one time. Sometimes more. So “token” girls would find they aren’t.

O no, I was hoping for so much more from Mar’Kessa. Shame that Diary of a Drow has to end, but hopefully we’ll get to see an even better game.
Hey! I’m about an hour and a half above Charlotte. Charlotte’s a cool town. I don’t know much about the gaming scene there, but they do have a small con there that was this past weekend (I THINK). Whatev… I’m jealous! A 3 week trip to Europe. Have fun!
