O no, Morthos doesn’t looks half as evil with his hair cut. Actually, if some of those were who I thought they were, everyone except Hennet seems to have changed their appearance.
yeah, it looks like a lot of them have put on/lost weight, changed haircuts, etc etc.
I wish Warduke was part of the video, I miss him.
Next player class the Warmarshal… lol hilarious!
Personally I don’t like the new alignment thing. What about neutral characters that want Balance between good/evil and law/chaos? Unaligned is an ok idea but they should have left the rest I think.
Overall though I am looking forward to 4th edition. I have my own homebrew world and am always looking for new ideas to improve it.
I did the Catacombs and the wight Dragon on the 7th…I still don’t know what to think about it. Next week we are starting the 4E module (your loss E.) in our gaming group, I figure a module that takes characters from 1-5 level should be enough to make my mind up.
@LokyCat -
I assume you mean Keep on the Shadowfell? If so, you might be disappointed.
Being a preview adventure, it’s very straightforward, but also very dry. It has some issues, both minor and major. It’s a good showcase for mechanics, especially combat, but just remember that you’re making your mind up about the system, not the adventure.
Oh, and watch out for the Kobold Lair, area A3. That can be a killer.
Loky, I think between FREE TRIP TO EUROPE FOR TWO WEEKS or D&D 4e, the choice is pretty clear.
D&D can wait until July… or August even.
@Graham:
Yea…Keep on the Shadowfell is going to start this Friday (or next Friday because one of the game’s family members is in the Hospital), were going to make our own characters for the adventure, we are keeping the basic Fighter/Rouge/Wiz/ext party make up that the pregenerated characters bring but we are going to customize each character to our own liking.
I still don’t know what to think about it but making our own characters and going throw 1lever to 5Level should give me a good idea about the game as a hole. Well see how it plays.
Shhh…no spoilers. =P
It actually only takes you to level 3, but even still.
It should give you a good idea about the mechanics, for sure. But it’s a published adventure, and a weak one story-wise. It’s a heavy combat adventure.
And the area I mentioned before was where I got my first 4e TPK on Friday.
=o
well…I shelled out the cash for the adventure but someone els is running it, so I never even opened it. I might order the sequels for this adventure. I think is Thunderspire Labyrinth(H2) and Pyramid of Shadows(H3).
Ill order H2 after we get don with H1, this way we give the Star Wars Saga’s GM a chance to play and we can play Saga in between the 4E modules. The Game day adventure and Dragon fight was just not enough for me to make an opinion on the 4E game system.=/
