Craigslist Experiment 2.0 - 30-year old Geek Girl - The Setup
Because it was so amusing last time, I’ve decided to do another few runs of the Craigslist Experiment.
Here are the posts for the last one, with our 18-year-old geek girl:
Today we have a 30 year old geek girl…
The ad is a bit more generic and she’s not as pretty as our first one.
We’ll see how it goes!

Yes, I love the dog picture. It’s a fun way to see if anybody reads the ads in all the cities I’ve posted in and makes the connection. Gotta wonder, don’t you?
Next up… the fun from my mailbox!
e is out of town from June 12 - 28. Established comment writers are pre-approved, but if you’re new to town, you may notice a slight delay before my code monkey approves your comment. Please be patient and I’ll see you when I’m back from vacation!

Woo! It’s back!
Colour me intrigued.
I followed the other experience awhile back and had forgotten about it. I recently joined match.com and I’ve been getting the same type of response on there. e, you’ve done wonders for the guys. What can us girls do to help weed out the creepy responses?
Code monkey here. FYI for you paige_peach, e. is out of town until the 28th but I’m sure she’ll be glad to answer your question when she gets back. My guess is that creepy guys go after any newbies hoping to get a hit as their previous attempts with other women didn’t work. The creep factor should die down over time as long as you don’t answer them and you ignore them (I think there is a button for that).
paige - you have two options.
1) Delete/Ignore: I only do this for guys who write really obnoxious or inappropriate emails.
2) Thanks But No Thanks. Everyone else deserves one of these. On match, it only takes a couple seconds to send one.
