D&D Related
- Keith Baker on 4e Character Depth. Which reminds me, why is the poor man still using LiveJournal?
- WotC presents the new Against the Giants minis. Want! I especially want the dragons… and whatever that snakey looking thing at the bottom is. That too.
- Dante at StupidRanger decides to give his take on GM = General Manager. Dante is also NOT an elf.
- Phil at Chatty DM was on a roll this week (probably because he was supposed to be NOT posting while he was planning for GenCon). Anyhoo, if you haven’t, check out Player Motivation and Types, Teaching RPGs to New Players, and the ever controversial (?) Open Letter to Wizards of the Coast.
- Troy on GnomeStew writes about the re-make of Forgotten Realms. I listened to the D&D Podcast on the same subject and am intrigued. Obviously as a newb, I’ve never played the original Realms…
- Monte Cook (another man who needs to abandon LiveJournal!) has a great article about Race & Gender in D&D Art. Very interesting.
- Martin on GnomeStew posted a neat write-up/review for the Dwarven SweatShop Custom Dice Tray. Want!

- I was scheduled to be shot by Men with Pens on Sunday. They came by and decided that I could live! Wow! I am really very happy that the review went so well. I made some tweaks to the nav bar at the top of the page. I’m also pondering this for a new tagline - “Helping guys like you get girls like me“. What do you think?

4E…. (Vomits profusely) I won’t go into a 4E bash session… I just don’t see myself breaking down and getting the edition.. ever!

I too was once a WOW junkie, got a Tauren Hunter to level 70… For me, WOW got really boring… Compound that with the fact that the server I was on really sucked. Many of the players were self centered and abusive… But I took it and still got my Tauren to 70, but for 15 bucks a month it got to be a waste of time. WOW can really be fun if you have a steady guild and group of players you play with… Soloing gets really old.
No matter how much you slice and dice it, WOW can’t hold a handle to good ol’ tabletop RPGs! Face to face human interaction is the fashizzle… Tabletop RPGs ROCK!
Green - I agree that tabletop is cooler, but WoW does have its fun moments.
Also, you can play WoW naked and nobody has to know. I mean, I suppose you could do nudist D&D… gotta wonder if anybody does that.
A friend of mine writes for various websites and was contracted to do some work for a nudist colony’s website. Their slogan was: “When you take off your clothes, you put on a smile!” That still cracks me up.
Sigh… Aye lass, you have a point… Now that it’s out there I have to dunk myself in water tower!
This certainly help… As at work we were discussing the alluring nature of the two Jessicas (Beil and Alba).. With the ongoing joke… ” Now I’m going to have stand behind the counter for a couple of minutes.” (As opposed to going out and stocking depleted product on the shelves) Sigh.. Guess you had to be there.
Trying really, really hard not to picture you nekked whilst playing WOW… : P
Personally, I found the game FEAR much more enjoyable to play than WOW… That game scared the crap outta me at certain points… And the plot was compelling enough to make me actually want to play… WOW has no driving plot that makes me want to play… All it is is gear, gear, gear… But to each there own…

Given the options, I would think I would like to watch a woman play WOW naked… Now you’ll have to excuse me as I have to stand behind the counter for a few minutes. : P
