FYI: You can also find really nice 4E sheets on Ema’s Character sheets. Under Dynamic Sheets, click the 4E books and you can get free complete sheets and you can even customize your own powers sheets according to your class and race.
Concerning the creation of chars, i rather like the excel sheet here : http://www.nzcomputers.net/heroforge/default4e.asp version 1.12 last time i looked
(does most of the minor calculations and creates a printable sheet too)
