StupidRanger and Geek’s Dream Girl are joining forces to write the ultimate guidebook to female roleplaying gamers around the world.
As of 1/21/09, we have 173 females and 185 males that have completed the survey!
All surveys are currently closed to new entries. We are now going to be working on the task of reading through them all and pulling the snippets we’d like to include in the book!
We’ll keep you posted if we find a need to re-open the original surveys or post a follow-up survey.

Well done. I think the fact that you’ve had nearly 200 replies from female gamers in a week or so reflects the fact that RPG Gaming isn’t as male dominated as some people would like to think it is.

@ Hammer – I’ve only compiled the stories on ONE of the questions from the girl survey and already I am blown away by all the awesome stories. This is going to be one interesting book for girls AND guys.
I’m coming a bit late to the party in asking this, but is there an estimate for when we’ll see the book on store shelves?
@ Alzrius – StupidRanger and I would LOVE to time the release of the book with GenCon… but not sure if that would be GenCon09 or ’10. Depends on how fast we can work (and get ourselves a contract with a publisher!).
Good luck with this! There need to be more books for and about us female gamers. The few I have found have been abysmal. But I keep trying and hoping.
I’m super excited to read your book though since you authors are obviously veteran gamers and not just in it for the pretty chain mail.
