However, if you simply look two parqagraphs up on the post, where she discusses flying dwarves, it is obviously meant as a humorous examination of the absurdity of it all. Just because I didn't "choose" to be gay, it doesn't follow that biology is destiny for human behavior. There were many reasons I feel more attraction for men rather than women, and my innate temperaments are complimentary to homosexuality rather than determinant of it. This is also why homosexual behavior isn't monolithic, and many people have changed their sexuality from heterosexuality to homosexuality and homosexuality to heterosexuality. Some people can feel attraction for both genders. Some people respond to behavioral therapy to change their sexuality, and some people don't. In short, being gay isn't a genetic illness or disability, and I'm not gay simply because I don't have any choice in the matter. Oh, and your flaming avenger isn't acting that way because of genetics. He's acting that way because he is aggressively seeking attention. It's a very masculine trait.
