The business side of Geek’s Dream Girl is on vacation through July 23rd. We’ll be finishing up any current clients during this time, but not taking on any new clients.
We’re sorry if you desperately need your online dating profile written right now, but really, this is for your benefit.
You see, I recently had mono. I was really, really sick, and tried my best to keep on top of my day job duties from home (since that’s my main source of income). Geek’s Dream Girl was pushed to the back burner for the most part.
Since getting better, I’ve had the extreme weight on my shoulders of getting caught up with everything I missed during the weeks I was sick. Day job stuff, blog stuff, biz stuff, personal stuff. Everything.
And of course, life being life, more things got thrown my way, including technical difficulties with the site.
I feel like no matter how hard I dig out, I’m not making any headway.
This Benefits You, Really
In the overly stressed state I’m in now, I don’t feel like I have enough energy to put toward writing dating profiles. I could *do* it, but they wouldn’t be my best work. I don’t want to give you my “this is what I got left” work. That’s not fair to you. If you’d really like a dating profile done ASAP, send me an email and I’ll gladly give you the contact information for my favorite competitors.
The dating profile side of Geek’s Dream Girl will be closed through Friday 7/23.
The blog will continue as scheduled with content from our talented staff writers and we’ll still be available to chat with you via Twitter. I hope to spend this time sans clients reacquainting myself with my sanity and finally digging out from the To-Do Mountain that accumulated while I was ill.
Thank you for your understanding.

Take care E, and kudos to all the new writers on the blog. This is getting better and better every day!
Merci, Hybban.
I hoping to be completely dug out from under this mountain of stuff by the end of the month. Then I can finally be back to business as usual!
I am relatively new to this site, actually having found it because a friend posted a link to one of your articles on facebook recently. This site has really been encouraging for me! I hope you get well soon and can begin to climb your mountain.
@Matt – Thanks! Glad you’ve been enjoying the site.
I’m feeling much less stressed now that I’ve had time to catch up on things properly. Looking forward to being back to business as usual soon.
